Frequently Asked Questions
Can we talk before scheduling a first session?
Yes, and I encourage it! I often meet with potential clients on zoom, or talk on the phone, for ~20 minutes (no charge). We can use this time to ask and answer questions of each other and see if we seem like a good fit. We can also discuss the estimated length and cost of our work together.
Do you accept insurance?
I don’t directly accept insurance. I am considered an out of network provider by most insurance companies, and I can give you a “superbill” you can submit to your insurance company. Clients are often able to receive reimbursement depending on their plans and previously met deductibles.
How much do sessions cost?
My full fee for therapy is $175/45 minutes, $225/60 minutes, and $300/90 minutes.
My full fee for Therapeutic Assessment is $200/hour for direct patient and indirect patient care (e.g., scoring tests and writing results).
Do you offer a sliding scale or pro bono rate?
Yes! Therapy is often prohibitively expensive, especially with providers like me who don’t directly accept insurance. For most of my life, I would not have been able to afford therapy with myself! I really value working with a variety of people who have different financial resources, and I can work with you to determine a rate that is feasible for both of us.
Where are you located?
My office is in central Austin. Our address is 4310 Medical Pkwy, Suite 101, Austin, TX 78756
Do you see clients virtually?
Yes. I am happy to meet virtually if that’s better or necessary for you. I prefer seeing each other and typically use Zoom for virtual appointments, but in some cases I have also done therapy over the phone.
